Concert de Santa Cecília 5EP

Ahir vam celebrar el primer dels concerts de Santa Cecília d’aquesta setmana. Els alumnes de 5è d’EP van ser els organitzadors del concert, on van assistir com a públis els alumnes de 3r EP i d’EI. Artistes, presentadors, dj., seguretat, fotògrafs, entrevistadors… cadascú va assumir una feina i tot va anar fantàstic. Els fotògrafs van fer aquestes fotografies:

ENS ENDINSEM A LA REVISTA REPORTER DOC

Ahir els alumnes de 5EP i 6 EP vam descobrir la revista Reporter DOC en la qual podem trobar articles de ciència, història o natura. També vam donar un cop d’ull a diversos exemplars i, així, hem descobert que són revistes molt complertes amb articles que ens poden interessar molt. Moltes gràcies pel taller!

S’inicia la ruta “Mensaje en una botella” que recorrerà l’Estat Espanyol plantejant reptes per salvar els nostres mars i oceans.

Aquest és un esdeveniment participatiu en l’àmbit nacional que s’inicia amb el viatge de diferents ampolles ecològiques al llarg del territori espanyol i que ha començat aquest Setembre. La iniciativa s’engloba dins d’un projecte europeu H2020,Sea Change project, que té com a objectiu aconseguir un canvi radical en la forma que la gent veu l’oceà i en com es relaciona amb ell.

L’escola ha participat en el disseny d’aquest projecte i durant una setmana vam tenir l’ampolla a l’Escola. Els alumnes de 5è d’EP es van implicar en el projecte treballant algun dels reptes pels oceans que es proposaven. Durant la setmana van fer diverses activitats relacionades amb els oceans. Per una banda van fer lectures de refranys mariners, i d’altra banda, van desenvolupar cartells proposant diferents opcions perquè els plàstics no acabin als mars i oceans. ESPECTACULAR CONFERÈNCIA DEL FOTOPERIODISTA MARC VIDAL

Ara mateix els alumnes de 5EP estem assistint a la xerrada sobre els refugiats i els conflictes bèl·lics arreu del món, basant-nos en la visualització d’imatges. Hem donat un cop d’ull a la situació viscuda a Sarajevo, al Sàhara, a Síria… i ens hem preguntat a on va la població civil quan es troben en situació de guerra.

L’ESTUDI DELS ANGLES D’UN TRIANGLE

La setmana passada, als alumnes de 5EP ens van plantejar el següent repte: “Un ratolí fa 3 moviments (per exemple, 12cm, 12cm i 12cm) i torna al seu punt d’origen. Com és el camí que ha fet el ratolí?”

Aquest interrogant ens va portar estudiar algunes característiques dels triangles; a aprendre a construir-los emprant compàs, escaire i cartabó; a mesurar angles interiors i a buscar els seus suplementaris.

Finalment, aquesta setmana hem comprovat si tots els nostres càlculs eren correctes emprant un ratolí fet amb Scratch.

ENGLISH DAY RECAP

English Day was a success!  The annual event had all students involved. Everyone celebrated the importance of the English language through engaging exercises. Ranging from the Stone Age to modern and futuristic times, students were able to become creative with such activities like designing their own pirate telescopes and coat of arms. 
 
The students from  1ESO were responsible for the Stone Age period. They  presented the importance of the Stone Age weapons and taught the younger primary students how to make a bow and arrow from only an ice pop stick, dental floss and cotton buds. Other students presented the importance of the rock art as the origin of human emotions in art and the last group had the younger students paint their very own rocks while helping them colour it according to how they feel that day. 
2ESO created activties from the Middle Ages. Similarily to 1ESO, the four groups had a wide range of fun activities for the younger students. From presenting the importance of the Middle Ages, to creating a cardboard castle, students were able to design their own coat of arms and sundial, the earliest way of telling time, created from paper plates.
 
The 3ESO students taught the other students about the Roman Times. Such activities like a game based on Roman numerals was a hit! Students enjoyed the Roman jewlery craft and became experts on the Roman army. How cool are these?
 
Ahoy Matey! Lets become pirates for a day! 4ESO students had a lot of fun teaching the others about pirates! They designed their own activities from creating eyepatches to pirate telescopes and treasure maps.
 
1batxillerat taught the students about the Modern Age and futuristic times through the creation of an escape room and hangman game with vocabulary from the Modern Age. Students also had the chance of becoming painters of the Modern Age by recreating their own art. 
 
English Day has become a fantastic way to get the entire school involved. All students enjoyed the celebration and learnt about the time periods of history while having a blast!  Fantastic job!
