In our English class in our second year of primary school we built our own little town out of paper with crayons, tape, glue and scissors. While doing this, we learnt all the vocabulary related to towns and cities, like hospital, building, block of flats, shop, café,….and many others.
Have a look at the outcome! We had so much fun.

GUY FAWKES AND BONFIRE NIGHT
Remember remember the fifth of November…..
is a rhyme and poem to recall Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes Day We have learned about this holiday in our English class
In the UK Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes is celebrated on November 5th. In November 1605 a group of men made a plan to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London. An enormous explosion was planned for November 5th. This was the day that the King was due to open parliament but they did not succeed and the police arrested and killed all the men involved in the plot!
And to celebrate his survival King James ordered the people of England to have a bonfire on the night of November 5th.
