SCIENCE: Following directions

These days, in the science class, we have been working on how to give and follow directions.

After drawing a path inside the classroom, we gave the directions to a classmate so that he or se could follow them and end up wherever we had decided.

ENGLISH DAY

English Day is on the move again! Our secondary students are taking over the classrooms with different Halloween Workshops: Halloween stress ball, Halloween bowling, Slime, Skeleton dance, Mystery boxes, Halloween bingo and stone colouring. Everything is about ghosts, monsters, spiders and vampires! Take a look at what we’ve done today at school!

El pistoler de les restes

Abans de marxar de colònies els alumnes de 2EP vam aprendre un joc de restes ben divertit! Juguen 3 persones, 2 són pistolers i ensenyen cadascú la seva carta, el tercer company (que veu les dues cartes) diu en veu alta el resultat de sumar els dos nombres i el primer que digui la carta de l’altre…dispara! Animeu-vos a jugar també a casa!

ANGLÈS, EDUCACIÓ FÍSICA, MATEMÀTIQUES I FREQÜÈNCIES CARDÍAQUES

Durant aquestes setmanes, els alumnes de 6EP hem fet un estudi de la nostra freqüència cardíaca en funció del tipus d’exercici que estiguem fent.
Primer vam haver de confeccionar una graella de doble entrada per poder enregistrar les dades. Després vam traduir de l’anglès al català les instruccions d’ús d’uns pulsòmetres digitals. A continuació, vam fer-los servir a Educació Física per controlar les nostres pulsacions mentre practicàvem diferents exercicis. Per acabar, vam representar totes aquestes dades mitjançant una gràfica.

Learning the textures!

We had a lot of fun in our last class of Science studying the sense of touch! We learnt that the skin and the hands are the organs of this sense, so we used them to touch a lot of objects and materials such as balls, fluffy toys, cotton, brushes, pinecones and more to classify them into four groups: rough, smooth, hard and soft. Some objects could go to different groups because they were rough, soft and also smooth! Can you guess which ones? See the pictures below!IMG_20171026_164539
